The 'Female Fragment' portfolio has many more sides to it than my previous work. It deals with a lot of aspects and issues of being a woman.

I am seeking to show a woman with many different sides; that it is possible to be strong and at the same time vulnerable, sensual etc. Often women are portrayed as either weak, motherly, somebody who needs to be protected or as strong feministic women. I am interested in showing that a woman can be all of these things at the same time. I believe that the more of these emotions and sides of yourself that you recognize and are comfortable with, the more 'whole' one may feel as a human being.

Light and shadow and the way it is possible to play on hiding and revealing are important in this work.
